Originally from Mauritius, Chitra Kartick first arrived in New Zealand in February 2014 on a visitor visa, with plans to visit family. However, much like many others, she quickly fell in love with the country and its world-class education system.

What began as a brief visit quickly transformed into an unforgettable and transformative journey: from enrolling at the University of Auckland to convert her Mauritian law degree into a New Zealand qualification, to navigating career opportunities, and ultimately achieving her dream of becoming a proud citizen of this beautiful country.

Chitra’s journey was anything but easy. Along the way, she faced numerous obstacles, particularly navigating the complex and often daunting visa application process. While she encountered many kind-hearted individuals, she also came across those who sought to take advantage of her as a migrant. Despite the challenges, Chitra's perseverance paid off. Today, she is a proud New Zealand citizen, having successfully navigated visitor, student, work, and resident visa applications, and finally the citizenship application.

Now, with first-hand experience of the trials and triumphs that come with migrating, Chitra is dedicated to helping others on a similar path. Her personal journey has fueled her passion for supporting migrants and her clients. With heart and soul, she is committed to making the visa process smoother and more accessible for those who need it most.
